In 2010 we organised the first Nordic Ruby in our hometown Gothenburg, Sweden. A lot has happened since then. We’ve got an office dog, have grown to 23 people and opened an office in Stockholm.
Now it’s also time for our conference to grow. We booked a bigger venue, still operating in Sockerbruket with a view of Göta Älv, in the heart of Majorna - Gothenburg’s cultural hotspot.
We’re working on a fantastic speaker line-up as we writing this blog post - but the speakers aren’t the most important part of a good conference.
It’s all the people you meet. The conversations you have. The relationships you build. That’s why most of Ship It is dedicated to “the hallway track”. It’s in the breaks between the sessions where you’ll meet your new co-worker. Your new client. Your new friend.
Not to spoil the talks too much, but the key to delivering great software is of course people. That’s what Ship It is about.
Pssst. The afterparty will be something truly special this year.
